SOUTH INDIA WILDLIFE TOUR IN KARNATAKA
Explore the wildlife of South India which has number of wildlife reserves having variety of species. The region boasts some of the largest jungle tracts. From the majestic evergreen forests to the scrub jungles of the plains, a wide variety of habitats teem with diverse flora and fauna, some of them endemic to the region. Day 01 | ARRIVAL BANGALORE |
Arrive at Bangalore airport, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, proceed for the city sightseeing, visiting Vidhan Soudha – a perfect blend of Dravidian style of architecture, Lal Bagh Botanical Garden – housing India’s largest collection of tropical plants and Ulsoor Lake – biggest lake in Bangalore spread over 50 hectares and has several islands. Overnight in Bangalore.
Day 02 | BANGALORE – MYSORE |
Morning after breakfast, drive to Mysore, located in the foothills of the Chamundi Hills. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later, proceed for the sightseeing of Mysore visiting Mysore Palace, a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world. The Majestic Darbar Hall has an ornate ceiling and many sculpted pillars here. Then visit Brindavan Gardens, a beautiful garden famous for its symmetric design with colorful musical fountain. Overnight in Mysore.
Day 03 | MYSORE – NAGARHOLE |
Post breakfast, drive to Nagarhole, famous for the Rajiv Gandhi National Park also called as Nagarhole National Park. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Nagarhole National Park has an astonishing abundance of wildlife, especially the Asiatic elephant. The backdrop of the distant misty blue Brahmagiri Mountains, the natural sounds of the jungle, the gurgling of streams and rivers, and twittering of birds make Nagarhole a memorable experience. Afternoon, proceed for the safari of the wildlife. Overnight in Nagarhole.
Day 04 | NAGARHOLE |
Morning, proceed for a wildlife safari or you can go for a coracle ride where you can witness a mass of elephants and other animals. Post lunch, proceed for the elephant ride or jeep ride into the park. Overnight in Nagarhole.
Day 05 | NAGARHOLE – BANDIPUR |
After breakfast, drive to Bandipur and on arrival check-in at the hotel. Bandipur National Park is a playground for wildlife, with elephants taking a lead role. Bandipur was once the Mysore Maharaja’s private hunting ground. It was brought under Project Tiger in 1973. Afternoon, proceed for a jeep safari inside the park. Overnight in Bandipur.
Day 06 | BANDIPUR |
Proceed for morning safari into the park. Be prepared for an unforgettable experience – you might see a tiger prowling amidst the mix of deciduous, evergreen forest and scrubland vegetation. Apart from tiger, various species of sloth bears, Indian pythons, gray langurs, brown fish owls, crested serpent eagles can be found here. Come back to resort and post lunch visit for evening safari. Overnight in Bandipur.
Day 07 | BANDIPUR – COIMBATORE – MUMBAI |
Morning drive to Coimbatore and on arrival transfer to the airport to board the flight to Mumbai for your connecting flight to onward destination.
