Singalila and Sandakphu Trek is considered as the best trek in the Eastern Himalayas. It takes you across the mountains decked with green alpine trees, lush paddy valleys and hues of flowers. While trekking on Sandakphu, trekkers can also witness the 180 degrees breathtaking views of the snow capped mountain ranges and the peaks like Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Kanchenjunga, Chomolhari and many more. Get an ultimate view of the Sleeping Buddha - an iconic representation of Buddha lying down on the himalayas. Day 01ARRIVAL DELHI

On your arrival meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Afternoon, proceed for Delhi sightseeing with Humayun Tomb of the Mughal Emperor and drive through the India Gate & President House and reach Rickshaw ride point. Explore Chandni Chowk on the Rickshaw in the heart of Old Delhi a busy shopping area with Bazaar full of spices and marriage saris through crowded narrow side streets and reach Jama Masjid largest mosques of India.

Day 02DELHI – BAGDOGRA – DARJEELING

Transfer to Delhi airport to board the flight for Bagdogra. On arrival, meet our representative and drive to Darjeeling. Darjeeling, often known as the queen of hills is a quaint colonial hill station. It is a land of the aromatic Darjeeling tea cherished by the tea specialists around the globe. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest and acclimatize here before starting your trek. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 03DARJEELING – MANEBHANJANG – TONGLU

Early morning, drive to Tiger Hill to witness the stunning view of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. Later, drive back to your hotel via Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Have your breakfast, and then drive to Manebhanjang from where the trek starts. In the trail you will pass through a small village Chitre and then cross the Pine and Rhododendron forests. After a steep trek of around 6 hours you will reach Tonglu.

Day 04TONGLU – KALIPOKHRI

After breakfast, start your trek for Kalipokhri, the second stop of the trek. You will pass through Singalila Sanctuary, passing through the thick bamboo, oak, magnolia and rhododendron forest. You can also spot some rarely found wild animals like Red Panda and Tragopan. After 4 hours trek reach Gairibas which is also a check post, take a break there. Then continue further to Kalipokhri, named after a pond filled with black water. The local villagers consider this pond as sacred. Reach Kalipokhri and for overnight stay.

Day 05 KALIPOKHRI – SANDAKPHU

This day you will continue your trek to reach Sadakphu. Some of the trail in between is a steep incline and zigzag as you climb up. On reaching Sandakphu, you may get the best views of the mountain peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga massif and other peaks on Annapurna range, depending on the clear sky conditions. Overnight at Sandakphu.

Day 06 SANDAKPHU – PHALUT

This day’s trek is the most scenic one walking along a ridge and is the most enjoyable walks in the Himalayas. You get the scenic views of the snowy peaks throughout the route and then you pass through the high altitude vegetation with greenery and the areas of dwarf rhododendrons and firs. After a walk of around 7 hours you reach Phalut. Overnight at Phalut.

Day 07 PHALUT - RAMMAM

In morning, climb up to Phalut Top to view sunrise over the Himalayas. From Phalut, you start descending down through the forests and come across the villages of Gorkhey and Samanden, where you can enjoy bird watching. Reach Rammam for overnight stay.

 

Day 08 RAMMAM – RIMBIK

After breakfast, start your trek descending down towards Rimbik. You will pass through the bridge at Sirikhola and enroute you will find a number of small villages. After this short descent you will reach Rimbik. Overnight at Rimbik.

 

Day 09RIMBIK – KALIMPONG

Morning after breakfast, drive to Kalimpong – a small hill station known for its serenity and scenic beauty. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon, proceed for a sightseeing of this beautiful town visiting Fort Museum, Durpin Monastery, Dr Graham Homes and Deolo Hills – the highest point of Kalimpong and one of the major tourist attractions. Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 10KALIMPONG - BAGDOGRA - DELHI

Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Bagdogra airport to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, board your flight for the onward journey.
