In the Shadow of Nanda Devi covers the Roopkund and Kauri Pass trek one of the interesting trek is located in Uttarakhand Himalayas. Roopkund lake is in height altitude of (5029m) in the lap of Trishul Massif. This area is usually called the 'Mystery Lake’, since human skeletons and remains of horses from the palaeolithic age were found here. This lake is surrounded by rock-strewn glaciers and snow clad peaks. The Roopkund and Kauri Pass trek follow through passing the dense forest, grassy meadow, remote villages with scenic view of Peaks and reached to another fabulous place Kauri Pass the most beautiful views of Himalayan Peaks of Kamet, Dunagiri, Neelkant etc.

Day 01 | ARRIVAL DELHI |
On your arrival meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Start for Delhi sightseeing with Humayun Tomb of the Mughal Emperor and drive through the India Gate & President House and reach Rickshaw ride point. Explore Chandni Chowk on the Rickshaw in the heart of Old Delhi a busy shopping area with Bazaar full of spices and marriage saris through crowded narrow side streets and reach Jama Masjid largest mosques of India.
Day 02 | DELHI - NAINITAL |
Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Nainital. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening free to explore the mall road of Nainital along with the Naini Lake. Overnight in Nainital.
Day 03 | NAINITAL |
This day proceed for a full day tour of Nainital. Visit Cheena Peak from where one can have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Himalayas. Later visit Naina Devi Temple and enjoy boat ride in Naini Lake. Afternoon, visit Bhimtal – a scenic lakeside destination, also visit Sattal – place where seven lakes come together. Evening enjoy shopping at the mall road. Overnight in Nainital.
Day 04 | NAINITAL – KAUSANI |
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Kausani. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Kausani is the place where Mahatma Gandhi stayed once and was so much impressed with its beauty that he started calling it as “Switzerland of India”. The guest house where Mahatma Gandhi stayed is known as Anashakti Ashram. Kausani also offer the majestic view of the Trishul peak in the Himalayas. Overnight in Kausani.
Day 05 | KAUSANI – DIDIANA |
Morning check-out from the hotel and drive from Kausani till the nearest motorable head Kuling via Gwaldam. From Kuling, start the trek to Didiana. Evening, reach Didiana and overnight in camp.
Day 06 | DIDIANA - BEDINI BUGYAL |
This day begin the trail climbing up into an oak and rhododendron forest. Trek through the beautiful village of Ali bugyal which is on the top of the mountain and is clearly visible from the backdrop of Didna. The area has acres and acres of green meadow scooped out of the mountainside. After a short rest, continue the trek to Bedni Bugyal and after an hour reach Bedini Bugal. Overnight in Camp.
Day 07 | BEDINI - ROOPKUND - PATARNACHUNI |
This will be a long day of trekking. Early morning, start the trek for Roopkund passing through Patarnachuni and Baguabasa. Afternoon, reach Roopkund which is also called a mystery lake due to number of skeletons found in the area. Later, trek down to Bagubasa/Patarnachuni.
Day 08 | PATARNACHUNI - KANOL |
Morning after breakfast, start the trek for Kanol. Late afternoon reach Kanol. Overnight in Camp at Kanol.
Day 09 | KANOL - SETAL |
This day start trekking from Kanol and passing through the forests. Reach Setal and overnight in Camp.
Day 10 | SETAL - GHUNNI |
Morning start the trail from Setal and reach Ghunni Village. This day while trekking, you will get an opportunity to see the remote Himalayan settlements. Overnight in Camp.
Day 11 | GHUNNI - JHINJHI |
Morning after breakfast, begin the trek from Ghunni to Jhinjhi crossing through the Vinayak Pass. Spend some time here and later continue your trek towards Jhinjhi village. Overnight in Camp at Jhinjhi.
Day 12 | JHINJHI - PANA |
Start your trek from Jhinjhi village continue towards Birahi Ganga and trek towards the ridge top. From there the trail moves to Pana village. The campsite will be near Pana village. Overnight in Camp at Pana.
Day 13 | PANA - KUARI PASS |
Start in the morning for Kuari Pass, enroute passing through the meadows of Sartoli and Dakhwani. Reach Kuari pass from where you can get the splendid view of the snow-capped Himalyas. Kauri Pass means "Door way". Overnight in Camp.
Day 14 | KUARI PASS - AULI |
Today we will see the sunrise on the Garhwal Himalayas later we trek down to Tali through the mountain ridge a beautiful camping side. Later we climb for 15 minutes and continue our trek to Gurson Bugyal into the forest of Oak and Rhododendrons forest on the grassy land to reach Auli. From Auli you can see the beautiful view of the highest mountain of Garhwal Nanda Devi peak.
Day 15 | AULI - RISHIKESH |
Post breakfast, we start our drive for Rishikesh. En-route you will stop at Devprayag situated at the confluence of the Alaknanda and the Bhagirathi rivers, to visit a Ram temple. Evening reach Rishikesh and check into the hotel. Overnight in Rishikesh.
Day 16 | RISHIKESH - DELHI |
Today morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Delhi via Haridwar. Evening reach Delhi and check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 17 | DELHI - FLY OUT |
Morning transfer to Delhi airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
